Door into the Grand House at the Casa Grande ruins.
Quote from my novel, The Man from Sacaton, when Jessie visits the Hohokam ruins. “I stoop and enter a short tunnel into the Grand House but stand too quickly and bump my head. I reel a few steps into the small chamber, fall onto the gravely ground, and begin dreaming that the deer spirit of my totem comes to life.”
“As a boy, I ran through dust devils to catch the desert’s spirit. It made me happy and brave like a man who hunts bears like a bear hunts.” Who is Bear Man in a maze? How does Jessie survive in the raw Sonora? Read her story in my adventure novel: The Man from Sacaton.
“As a boy I went bow hunting with my uncle. I was about to shoot a doe when a black bear attacked. The bear gave me permission to kill him then my uncle named me Bear Man Hunts Deer.” How does Jessie survive in the raw Sonora? Read her story in my adventure novel: The Man from Sacaton.
“I dream that an owl in the lavender sky appears on an ironwood branch. He swoops before me three times and warns that I must leave the Mogollon settlement to spare my life.” Read the story about Hohokam spirit Indolent Moon in my novel: The Man from Sacaton
“In a dream vision he takes me into dark billowing clouds that flash lightning and leads me into the whirlpool of the sky where bees swarm and the sun drinks up my essence.” How does Jessie survive in the raw Sonora? Read her story in my adventure novel: The Man from Sacaton.
“‘The eagle flies higher than any other bird to give messages to our Creator,’ he tells me. Again, he knows my thoughts like he is the Creator. ‘The skull is of the bear, my spiritual brother,’ he says about the tattoo on his right arm.” How does Jessie survive in the raw Sonora? Read her story in my adventure novel: The Man from Sacaton.
“The eagle totem on my nightstand brings forth John Eldron and my amorous husband shapeshifts into the O’odham man who saved my life. Or was it that John is shapeshifting into my wretched spouse?” How does Jessie survive her wanderings in the raw Sonora Desert? Read my novel: The Man from Sacaton
The desert plays the quiet music of Kokopelli, the Hopi flute player. Listen to the rustling mesquite and a quail calling to his bevy. Smell the creosote and the dry caliche soil. The desert pleases all of my senses. Read my adventure novel about the Sonora Desert: The Man from Sacaton.
