The artwork comes from my novels: Key to 1000 Doors, Ten Years Past Cairo, My Brave Inca Dove, The Man from Sacaton, and Guardian of the Maya Tree.
This image is my rendition of Green Tara and her companion deities Ekajati and Marichi. I focus on Green Tara to help me overcome my own mental obstacles or intrusions and negativities that get in my way. Ekajati, with the flames around her head, helps me burn away those intrusions in my mind and heart. Marichi represents the dawning of a new day, the promise of a new beginning, a re-start after I overcome negativities.
In Mexico 1991 when I first drafted Guardian of the Maya Tree. The background comet is my picture of Hale-Bopp and the solar eclipse is my picture taken in the Galapagos 1998.
